Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. Her reporting of the ineffective responses of police officers to DUI cases in Charleston resulted in an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases.
